First Hair Cut

Today, Isaac achieved a new milestone:  his first big-boy hair cut!  He was a CHAMP!  I took him to K.A.O.S. this morning to see Miss Barbara.  When we walked in, the movie Anastasia was on.  Coincidentally, it was the scene where she sings, "Once Upon a December."  I was literally singing this to Isaac last night when he was having trouble falling asleep.  Good omen, I thought.  Anyway, when we walked into the hair-cutting area, he selected a big, pink bike to ride on for his cut.  All of the pink invading our house must be wearing off on him.  :-)  The whole procedure took about 15 minutes, the first 10 of which he spent mostly snuggled against Mommy before he sat up a little.  Then, Miss Barbara pulled out the electric trimmers.  She let him hold them to see what he thought, then held them against her cheek, against each side of his face (the plastic piece, so he could feel the vibration), and then against his back.  He leaned forward and she was able to trim around his neck perfectly.  It was a wonderful first experience.  She was quick to warn me that the next time may be more dramatic, but that's to be expected.  I am proud of the way he handled it.


We have a little baggy with Isaac's locks in it to put in his baby book.  They are also going to mail us a certificate saying he got his first trim.  :-)
